Hey! You seem to go to the track a lot, so I was wondering if I could possibly make my DD into a track car(I am still going to drive it everyday, so nothing to crazy). It doesn't have to be super fast, just needs to go to the track and then drive back without any problems. What should I add to the car. I want to get a radiator, better brakes, and an oil cooler. Anything else?

What are those wheels?
Is that metal bit a super charger under the hood?

I wrote this a few years ago, it might be of interest to you in addition to the advice of the OP

The wheels are 18x9.5 TR Motorsports MT1 s (in a square setup).
It is indeed a supercharger, the Active Autowerke Gen 7 Stage 1 . Rated at 510hp/365tq it dyno'd at 435whp/300wtq at the wheels.

Meatstick62 has a very nice write up. LOL'd hard at the "Rain gear (if you bring it, then it won't rain)". So true.
I made a decision early on (after only 1 year of lapping) to buy a dedicated track car that could be driven to-and-from the track.
I'd say if you're starting off, the writeup from Meatstick62 covers it all. The radiator and oil cooler can wait until you really start pushing the car to its limits, or you add a turbo/supercharger. That's when I upgraded mine.
The car you are going to use will heavily determine reliability. An N/A car will very likely be much more reliable than a turbo or SC car. Age plays a factor as well. A good inspection is key.
You can start with a brake flush and some new RBF600 fluid (bleed properly!) and some new pads (I happen to like Performance Friction pads a lot). For street/track tires nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the Hankook R-S3. With these three things and a helmet (etc.) you're ready to go learning the limits of your car. If you can refresh or upgrade your bushings, that's a HUGE plus as well.
The only other thing I changed right away and made a huge difference was my spring rate. Going a little further, a nice coilover suspension package will open you up to great options in terms of adjustability and let you play with "street mode" and "track mode" if you're so inclined.
Good luck and be sure to post how it goes!
